    10 Applications of Drone Inspection
Drone inspection is an efficient and affordable solution to inspect industrial assets. Engineers and inspectors can get valuable information about their structures in real-time manner and can take important decisions instantly. Previously it was a tedious and highly risky method with high insurance costs. There could be many objectives and possible scenarios for drone inspection. However, the major purpose is to get a close-up view of the industrial assets and hard to reach areas. Some of the common situations could be one or more of the following:

    1. Taking images of high structures such as wind turbines, silos and bridges.

    2. Monitoring of the oil and gas pipelines and looking for any areas requiring attention.

    3. Inspection of hazardous areas.

    4. Roof inspections for any sign of deterioration or leakage.

    5. Drone inspection using infrared cameras to get an estimate of the heat loss.

    6. Underwater inspection using drones

    7. Drone inspection performed on behalf of an insurance company to process a claim.

    8. Using UAV to check the cracks in a building.

    9. Performed UAV inspection for help and rescue.

    10. Drone inspection of high-radiation areas where sending human is impossible.

    Drones Used for Inspection:
The most common commercial drones used for the industrial inspections are following:

    1. Sensefly eBee

    2. DJI Matric 200 (M200)

    3. Elios by Flayability
