Does anyone have any info on the Xiro Xplorer V? I was looking into getting an entry level camera drone that doesn't cost a fortune but has good camera quality. I was originally looking at either the blade chroma or the DJI Phantom 3 standard. I went to a local hobby store and was told that I should stray away from DJI because only DJI can work on them. If anyone other than DJI does anything to them it voids the warranty. Im not sure how accurate this is but they did show me the Xiro Xplorer V. After looking at it, and doing some youtube research it looks like a really nice alternative. But I would like to get some (unbiased) opinions or at least some personal experiences if there are any.

Isn't that the way it is most products? Isn't that why seals are often used to show evedence of tampering?

Get the Phantom, DJI sets the pace, plus there's tons info out there and dedicated forums to help you through any tricky procedures/problems. Who is Xiro and where do they fit into the overall picture?

If DJI had stayed with the $1000-$1300 models they first introduced, the Xiro and the Minivet and other lower cost models would make a lot of sense and fill a gap in the market.
But as it stands - with the Standard selling at $400 - $500, it's hard to suggest other models if you need a beginner camera drone.
Even the other DJI models are now available at relatively low prices - and you get reliability as well as a lot of 3rd party software (apps) to expand upon them.

If for some reason you don't want to buy DJI you could consider the new Autel Robotics models or even the older Yuneec 4K.

The Chroma, IMHO, is definitely not up to snuff. Much less for the money and unreliable, IMHO.
