Which radio for my quad

I'm about to buy a Flt. controller/radio for my quad build. Anyone have any negative's or reasons not to use one of the listed ones below? Any preferences of one over the other and why? I'm leaning toward the Spekrum DX6.

Any disadvantage (other than cost) of planning for the future and buying an 8 channel radio and only using 6 channels?

I like the Spektrum's now, for the 2.4 ghz frequency.

No disadvantage at all. Having unused channels won't hurt you a bit. If you're going to upgrade to something better than the DX6 I'd go for the DX9 rather than the 8.

 

So the Dx6 - DX8 - DX9 have basically the same function and feature just more channels one to the next.

 

Yes, more channels is nice later on when you need them for a bigger bird
