Typing on phone, sorry for auto correct. Xmas gift for 15 yr old boy. Has iPod. Looking at either subject models. Will not afford anything more. I believe the Potensic F183 is newer style. Has larger Ma battery, 5 htz freq, and comes with FPV monitor. The U818A is packaged with a FPV visor. Any advice, or 1st hand experience? Both have I believe HD cam. Thank you
No first hand experience, but you may also want to consider this one. https://www.amazon.com/JJRC-Headless-Quadcopter-Camera-Monitor/dp/B00U151RXI/ref=sr_1_25?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1480520942&sr=1-25&keywords=JJRC This model has some of the best looking toy grade, on board video quality I've seen. BTW Potensic is not a true manufacturer, the F183 looks like a rebranded JJRC. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013HVZAFS/ref=psdc_11608080011_t1_B00U151RXI You should be able to find more reviews if you search. See if you can also grab some spare props.
Any with F183 Premium. It is like the one you point out. Comes in hard case. Ordered some extra batteries, motors, bearing upgrade. Take care
UDI is a solid brand name and parts are available, etc. They sell the same model in so many packages- you have to decide what features you want. Personally I like the basic machine (no FPV, etc.) because it allows you to learn how to fly without getting distracted by the delayed FPV feed.
