I'm in need of a new bodyshell for a Glimpse XL which had a mishap involving a tree! Unfortunately the original shop (Maplins, in the UK) cannot help. Any ideas? Thanks Dave
I think you are out of luck. Seems it was made by Horizon Hobby, but they don't list it. I'm just guessing at the the size, but if you feel all the parts are still good, transferring them to something like this is probably your only option. http://www.ebay.com/itm/F330-4-Axis-Multi-Rotor-Quadcopter-Frame-Airframe-FrameWheel-Rack-Kit-/232238342748?hash=item36127be25c:g:MS0AAOSw-0xYUKnw
Thanks for your help, I was thinking that might be the outcome sadly. I think I'll try a repair job first and then a full body transplant as a last resort! Any pointers on glues and common issues in this kind of repair? One of the motor supports is badly damaged but not snapped completely off. Also the GPS mount on the top is snapped.
If you want to try epoxy, this might be the best choice. https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-Plastic-0-85-Fluid-Syringe-1363118/dp/B0044FBB8C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489705906&sr=8-1&keywords=plastic+bonder+epoxy And there is also this. https://www.amazon.com/IC-2000-Rubber-Toughened-1oz-Adhesive-Glue/dp/B002N507I0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489705977&sr=8-1&keywords=rubberized+ca
