I am currently building my first drone. I want to use it as a PTZ camera platform with FPV capabilities. So with this in mind it is very important to have a nice stable hover, speed and maneuverability are not at the top of my list.

So my question is what type of rotor blades do i need to get to provide what i am looking for, the motors are Turnigy hd 2212 brushless if that helps.

    thanks for any help.

The question is not what type of rotor blades, but really should be how do I prepare them.

First, buy only top quality blades, APC, Gemfan, and Graupner make some of the best (sure cheap ones are all over e-bay and hobby king, if you like rotor explosions by all means buy those cheap ones).

Once you have you blades you need to do a few things.

Check them for any obvious defects. No chips, nicks or scratches.

Check them to be "true", rotate them on a shaft at slow speed and make sure the tips are the same height and the blades do not wobble.

Now comes the fun part, balance them. Buy a good magnetic balance and follow the instructions found in these forums or included with the balance. Balance the rotor. https://www.scoutuav.com/2011/08/25/how-to-balance-a-propeller/

Then make sure your motors are balanced too.....find instructions on this via YouTube or other places as well. http://www.itsqv.com/QVW/index.php?title=How_To_-_Motor_Balancing

Then balance the motor and blade assembly.....http://uav3-d.info/2013/07/16/propeller-and-motor-balancing/

If your done in a few minutes.....well your did not do it right, this takes time, but done right you will have no "jello" effect and a smooth running aircraft

HQProps are also decent props as well. They are reasonably priced and pretty well balanced as purchased. I think that they are good Graupner knockoffs. They appear to be better balanced new than Gemfans which seem to have problems with balance at the prop-hub juncture.
