New to this forum, but not new to flying and I have a question. I am putting together a company to do aerial photography and I am planning on getting or building an octocopter like the DJI S1000. My question is what camera to use for this type of flying? It has the capability for carrying most anything, and I am bewildered by the number of cameras out there. Do any of you fly these models and what do you use?
If you are building an S1000 then you should see which camera gimbal you want to install. All camera are not compatible with all gimbals. DJI makes a few different gimbals. This should help you narrow down your camera search.
Have you considered the upgraded Inspire with the RAW micro-4/3 camera? Do you really need something better than what the Inspire with the upgraded cameras can produce? IMHO, you might want to consider those because they are a more integrated platform - that is, the camera is tightly woven into the app, etc. Many top pros use this setup... http://click.dji.com/1yk3KUe9UF1vmFf7?pm=custom
