Quadcopter controller by iPhone or iPad constructed piece by piece Help

Hi guys, I am a student in the final year and I will love to buid for my final project a quadcopter controlled by an iphone/ipad .

I saw parrot AR.Drone 2.0 quad controlled by an iOS device but i am not interested in a embeded quadcopter, i will like to program a flight controller or arduino by miself, with wifi, and construct it piece by piece.



I couldnt find an explained tutorial for this or something like this*(or someone who really did this ), so i am asking you for help, with some tutorials, links, even parts to use in, like the best wifi-T-R (price-quality), a good frame , some motors,best flight controllers/ arduino, camera .
