Hello all, I just bought new DJI Phantom 2 self tightening props for my original phantom. They came bent; one side is much lower than the other. I think that this is affecting my flight performance and stability. Can you recommend a good way to make them lie flat as I believe they are supposed to. Thanks in advance.
I suspect you could slightly heat and bend them back - try some the techniques suggested in this article here about the AR Drone props.... https://www.droneflyers.com/2013/03/how-to-troubleshoot-your-ar-drone-1-0-and-2-0-after-a-crash/ But if they came that way, I'd see about getting them replaced - after all you should not have to work too hard on new products!
Thanks webman, I ended up putting them in my helping hands and heated them over a low flame. They look much flatter now when flying, which I believe to be correct, however flight on the phantom with phantom 2 props is very unstable and difficult to control. Thanks again
