Hi all, I've done a ton of reading and research. I'm looking to get my first drone and I've narrowed it down to this list. If you think of a suggestion, please share. I'm just looking for my first basic one. The list is: Syma X5SW (cause that wifi gig looks cool) otherwise, I'm ok with the Syma X5C-1 Hubsan Quads X4 Blade Nano I've also just recently seen this HongTai range, seems promising? Can anyone please suggest a great drone for a newbie first buy?
My suggestion is not to worry about which one you buy as your first - you are likely to crash or lose it quite quickly. Your first model should be looked at as education - that is, as if you were buying lessons. My suggestion - is that if you want to fly a little bit inside (house, garage, basement) and also some outside (open clear area), get the Hubsan Quads along with prop guards and a couple extra batteries. If all your flying will be done outside, get the Syma - I would not get the wifi or an FPV with the first units you buy because that is likely to distract you from learning how to fly. Good Luck.
