Hi guys im 16 and working up to my dream job which is a producer / director. As a result of this i am making a Star Wars fan film for the 2017 competition. (dont worry this does get drone related) After talking to DJI they recommended me the DJI Phantom 3 standard edition because it is cheap but films in a beautiful 2.7k quality. But sadly it is still expensive. Does anyone know of any other quality quad copters like the phantom with the same quality camera for cheaper. the drone will be used for my schools Film and Fan club as well as at our local town club. You cannot get the same features and quality in anything less expensive.....BUT, sometimes you can find a deal on the Phantom 3 Standard. As an example, here is a refurb in DJI online store for $419 including shipping http://click.dji.com/1yk3KUe9_M68DTN6?pm=custom Those refurbs are as good (maybe better!) than new - usually never flown, just opened box. They have full warranty. But to answer your question - you will not find anything out there that does the job for less. Good Luck with your project!

Why do you always double post? The first always being just a quote? Is this your vid? Specs be damned it just doesn't look very good, and the gimbal is having a hard time maintaining a level horizon, especially at the beginning. Here's an older $100 SJCAM with a Walkera $80 2D gimbal.
