I recently purchased the Aries Blackbird x10 new for $389. My goal is to someday get the Phantom 3 Advanced but I want to be a better pilot before putting that kind of $$ in the air. I have read the manuals for the Q Cop 450, AEE AP10 and the manual that came with it as well as watched every training video on YouTube for this model. I have read the stories of new quads taking off on the first never to be seen again. My question is since I plan to keep me first few flights low and close, is it a dumb idea to use a tether on the first few flights in case there is a problem?
