Well, I might not be the most experienced guy about RC's here, but hapens to own the JJRC H11D and I may say that it's very stable and has a descent battery life. This seems stable, too, as far as I can see from the video, so I would suggest you to proceed with your purchase. Let us know -after you've tested it- your opinion about it.

That's not the way to learn how to fly. That's why it's best to get a lightweight ~$20 quad so you can practice, pushing yourself to learn various maneuvers and experiment. When I first started every attempt ended in a crash. And I didn't have to be in a large open field to practice.

Get yourself a Syma X5-C or something similar to start with. The JJRC you're looking at is VERY fast, has brushless motors and isn't really a beginner quad, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, it looks like a GREAT quad, I've seen videos, but it's WAY too fast to try to learn with. Get yourself an inexpensive quad you can fly indoors and outdoors, for aaround $30-$50, and spend a month learning with that.

    My opinion....
