Hello, I am planning to build a quadcopter with only multiwii se, bluetooth module , arduino pro micro, esc, motors, lipo battery. Is it possible to build one with just that or its mandatory to have gyro and accel ? As I dont have money to buy radio controller and a receiver I am wondering if it possible to calibrate ESC with potenciometer. I am planning to control the quadcopter with android device with bluetooth inside my house only. Thank you for your time.
Yes it is possible, but the programming will drive you nuts......and the gyro and accelerometers are needed (cannibalism of a Wi controller for them is common)....better to buy a UAV with everything and learn to fly that first, then you will have most of what you need to build your own.
I am not worrying about the programming part, I am more worried if each hardware is compatible for a quadcopter. So you say I can make a drone with multiwii and arduino pro micro and some gyro and accel. That what I wanted to hear. Thank you
