Hello, I’m Antton Pena, a industrial designer that is working on the future of flying objects in urban areas. I’m personally very exited about the scenario that we are approaching. I see our cities using their air space as efficiently or better than how we do nowadays with the ground level. Unfortunately, nowadays, nor the perception of society nor the law helps us on that. The lack of confidence in aerial technology and conjectures generate a lack of trust in flying objects. I believe that small modifications on the technology and the creation of some services around the flying objects could create the enough confidence to make laws loosen and people interact with this elements. Some of the ideas I’m working on, are services that would let users monetize the usage of the air space they own, technologies that would ensure that no one is tracking them, or drones that would be able to communicate that they don’t collect data of the citizens in a harmful way. I imagine that some of you, as pilots of different aerial objects, had some episodes when had contact with citizens, when you felt limited by the legislation of your place or you wanted to do something that you weren’t allowed to or had trouble doing. I would be interested on hearing these stories, as well as the products and services you miss to be able to drive you vehicles in the places you need. I’m sure you all have very interesting applications for these flying technologies, and would be great if we could slowly go towards making them happen. Thanks for your testimonials.
