I'm new into the drone world about to go out and buy my first ever drone. I'm looking at the Sy ma X5C-1 And it says that the capable meters are 150 but the controller antenna is 50meters? Does this mean I can't go no higher than 50 meters with the drone? Even tho it says it can go 150meter? Ik this probably one of the dummest questions asked but I'm new so forgive me thanks in advance :)

A small quadcopter like that is unlikely to be able to be seen much past 50 meters. In truth those figures are guesses and your range may vary. I have found about 70 meters to be the maximum range of the Syma models although at that distance you cannot properly see and control the model.
These are made to be used close to you. At any distance the wind will catch them and you will likely lose it.

Hi. I'm real new at this drone syndrome and as such bought the book 'Getting Started.....". I now see on Amazon that the kindle version was updated more recently (January 2015) and has 106 pages. How do I get the updated (January 2015) version? Thanks and great site for newbies like me!

Amazon does not allow updating of the book to go to older purchases:

However, what was added is all available on the web site - mostly it was some short stuff on DJI (Phantom 3) and then the "Finding Places to Fly". Those additions and more are published (in better and longer form usually) on the main droneflyers.com blog.

Also, I usually give the book away free for a couple days every once in a while - probably over the 3 day labor day weekend. So you can then "purchase" it again for free and get the updated copies. Also, the other books are also likely to be free along with it at that weekend.

    thanks!
