I'm looking to pull the trigger on purchasing some components to build a quad and I'd greatly appreciate any feedback and/or suggestions on the items I've chosen. Thanks!

    Frame: Flip FPV ProG

    Motors: Flip Motor MT
    http://www.readytoflyquads.com/the-flip-motor-ms-ms2208-18-t-motor-kv-1107

Props: HQ Prop 10x4.5 SF Carbon Composite Prop

    Flight Controller: Pixhawk
    https://store.3drobotics.com/products/3dr-pixhawk
(This one I'm not 100% on, although I do want something that has features that I can grow into like waypoint navigation)

Radio transmitter / receiver: Turnigy 9X
    http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B008D6FGYI
(from what I've read, a no brainer)

    Battery: Turnigy nano-tech 4000mah 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack
    http://smile.amazon.com/Turnigy-nano-tech-4000mah-25~50C-Lipo/dp/B00MWHXMXQ/ref=sr_1_18?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1431621027&sr=1-18
Something along these lines? High enough voltage to handle the motors and potentially a gimbal in the future

    Battery Charger / Conditioner: IMAX B6-AC Charger/Discharger 1-6 Cells

    Speed controllers:
This is the only area that I'm confused with. I have researched that these need to be able to handle the amperage that the motors will pull. The motors above are listed at 1100kv (which is more than the recommended 980kv on the frame). Any suggestions?

Once again, thank you for looking at these. I really appreciate the input!

Nice for the most part......motors and props are a problem

The web page says to use 10 X 4.5 Propellers with that motor.......but the data sheet says otherwise, they will run hot, as in over current and melt down

Looking at the motor choices at that site I would stay away from the motors...........too many mistakes on recommended vs. datasheet.

I recommend Hacker motors, yep way more expensive......but you get what you pay for....

    Use this propeller http://www.readytoflyquads.com/hq-prop-10x4-7-sf-carbon-composite-prop

    And run with these......

A30-42S-UAV, Shaft with LHT (2 of them)

    and

A30-42S-UAV, Shaft with RHT (2 of them)

    ESC (speed controller)

    UAV-Control Pro 30 Opto (4 needed)

It appears as though the US Store for Hacker Motor Shop isn't quite open yet. I also can't seem to find the ESCs anywhere other than overseas vendors.
Does anyone (looking at this post) know of hobby stores in the States that may carry these?
