is there some trick to keeping the prop nuts TIGHT on the motors???? I always tighten them, but they manage to work themselves off and spin off into never never land. Currently out of commision till a set of replacement nuts arrive from china.
You have to make sure the proper washers are used - and the exact tightness is also an art. Also, there is a lower strength thread locker that many pilots use - but don't get any on the plastic blades! Now you can see why the most reliable machines have built in screw hubs instead of prop nuts! They are definitely a weak link because of many factors - especially human error. Too loose and they spin off - too tight and they crack the prop. Here are some suggestions including the locktite type as well as using nyloc nuts http://diydrones.com/group/arducopter-y6-owners-group/forum/topics/prop-nut-tightening?xg_source=activity
