I am a long time RC pilot looking to get into FPV quads. I have started doing my research and it seems that the majority of what I see are people using newer radios (taranis etc). I have a JR x9303 2.4 DSM (heli and airplane programs) that I use for all of my other gear. Are there alot of people using these older(ish) tx's? Any pros or cons to it? I would like to keep using it because it cost an arm and a leg when I bought it many moons ago - but if it is a tremendous pain to get it to function with current flight controllers I may just get a new unit..

    opnions, advice, sarcasm?

I had actually done some more digging, there are 3rd party DSM rx's that support cppm also. at 14 bucks it is worth a shot.
