Hello guys, I've read around that this quadcopter is good for beginners, what I want to ask is what's special in this H107C version. I found it a pretty good price on geekbuying, with the coupon 10HUBSANX4 it goes down to $50.99, which I think is a pretty good deal. What do you guys think?
Well, firstly I'm from Italy and I think B&H only ships within the USA, secondly I buy a lot from geekbuying so if I find what I think is a good deal I'll ask about it, I must link to somewhere anyway, thirdly the Hubsan Quads X4 I found on B&H for $46 is the one with a 0.3Mp camera and not 2.0Mp like the one I linked. Also I'd have no reason to push geekbuying, there's no affiliate link so I wouldn't get any money from it..
I know there is a lot of need for worldwide shipping - Banggood seems to do a decent job and also T-Mart. I've heard less than good things about some other vendors. Some of them, like Gearbest, tend to spam forums all over the internet. Personally I like the Hubsan Quads X4 but without the camera. Those cameras are really not good for anything and a distraction for pilots trying to learn how to fly. They add weight and complexity. I am reviewing the JJRC H6C (same as Holy Stone 180) right now and it is OK except for the camera....I think my summary is going to be for buyers to stay away from cameras on their beginner machines.
Oh, I didn't know only vendors would spam forums, now I get why you made that question. As for the quadcopter, do you think all these cameras are bad? Or maybe some are better? I guess you're right in the fact that they add complexity but I could also fly it normally (no FPV) and record the video, or that's not possible?
I have not seen any decent stock cameras with true toy quadcopters. I have used RunCam and Mobius and #808 cameras and attached them to toys with some good results. But, again, if one is starting out it can be a distraction instead of a helper. I'd say most folks should start out with bare models (no cam) and maybe get one on their 2nd or 3rd purchase.
By the way, geekbuying's fb page just posted a $30 coupon for this little boy. It's: HUBSANX410. It works on this one below, not sure if it works with others. http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Hubsa...ed-347686.html
