I have recently just bought a new Sky Drone Plus quadcoptor. Everything seems fine but I am unsure how to operate the video camera. I have watched a video on YouTube about the Syma X5C. This seems very similar in build etc. The transmitters seem similar too. If anyone can help that would be fantastic
Did you go through the basics in terms of the Syma X5C? It seems that the top right button on the TX (remote) takes pics and videos once the camera is installed, connected and has a card in it. See enclosed manual page.
I have tried to follow the instructions but when I long press the top right button, sometimes it seems to capture footage, other times it doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any indication to show that it is or is not recording ?
Hmm....I'm not sure there is an indication on the TX - it mentions one on the camera itself. Maybe double check the camera connections and fiddle with it on the ground and see if the camera flashes the indicators and makes the beeps mentioned? Other than that, you can try a different SD card. At that point you are probably just out of luck....these toys are fairly unreliable and I've had to return one or two that didn't work when new.
I have been back to the shop to try and resolve this problem with the camera. It seems that the instructions in the manual were completely wrong. Instead of pressing the top right button, you have to pull down on the throttle trim button to take video, then pull down again to stop recording and to take a photo you have to push up on the throttle trim button. Everything is now working fine. Hope this post helps someone else in the future. Thanks to all those guys that contributed to this post.
