    Hello, i recently bought a Syma x8.
I want to install a gimbal, i found on ebay some cheap ones but they didnt include the motors.
My question is this, can the gimbals ''work'' without its motors? I dont want to control from the remote the gimbal of course, just to instal it and work just as a stabilizer for the camera. Work on its own with the movement of the drone.
Is it possible? Or i will need the motors as well to provide a much smoother stabilization?

thanks a lot, and sorry for my english. Hope you understand

No. If you are looking for a way to eliminate jello type vibration look on Youtube. There are many inexpensive and simple DIY solutions that can help.

thanks for the reply, inreally appreciate it.
I dont need just an antijello, i want something that force the camera to stay still when the drone is moving.
I ll try to see in youtube as you suggested, perhaps i ll find sth.
    Thanks :)

Make sure to get the lightest gimbal you can find. Best look for a 2 axis.

Don't know if you can see it or not but my step father made his own little gimbal type deal and I think it is exactly what you are trying to do
    IMG_1175.JPG it works pretty well
