    So, I just came across that you need to have a HAM Radio license to do FPV because of the video transmitter. How many people do this ? I have no problems taking a $15 dollar test and doing some reading on HAM radios and such but is this correct that you need this?

    I am not so sure about that as you are not broadcasting the video out but receiving video from your UAS

    That's because that one is an extremely low power unit and supposedly has been tested/registered with the FCC.
    We never see anyone using such low power, 200mW to 600mW is what most use in the US and you'll never see a real FCC label on them.
