I was thinking of buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 inch for my new phantom as the price is good and has gps. Will these work ok rather than going for say the ipad mini 2 Is IOS better than android?
IOS is definitely better - but this depends on your budget and your use. I use a refurb (99) Nexus 7 II and it works fine. If I was taking videos for $$$ (a real pro), I'd go IOS. We do have two IOS devices (my wives), but I like having a dedicated tablet in my case with the P3. Reports are saying the newer DJI firmware and app work better than before on some tablets. So, in summary, IOS is the best but Android is more than adequate for most uses.
Well always concious of money, but i,d rather pay a few £££ more now and stick with it than change a few months later. question now ipad mini 2 with or without gps? Nexus 7 II looks good spec has that got gps? Tempted at Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 for gps and GLONASS with 1.5gb memory, but many say not android go ios...
Nexus 7 II (and even the first one!) has a GPS chip inside it. Ipads work fine with no GPS....maybe the new ones they are going to intro Sept. 9 will include it in non-cellular? It all depends on what you need. If you really care about a lot of the upcoming moves like Follow-me, etc. then GPS will be needed for some. The way I look at it I will cross those bridges when I come to them. I could sell my Nexus for close to what I paid for it anytime and upgrade....but I'd don't really have a need for the top of the line.
