I am a drone virgin who is ordering a drone for my father, who is also freshly getting into drones. He has his heart set on a ARRIS X-Speed FPV250 Pure Carbon Fiber FPV Racing Quadcopter Super Combo. Whether this is a beginner friendly model or not, he is not a guy who changes his mind easily so this is what he is getting as I know from experience that trying to change his mind is pointless. The question I have is what is the major difference between the following motors? EMAX MT1806 2280KV & Emax 2204 motor I have no idea what the numbers mean or if I really should be putting so much thought into it and just pick one to go with. I imagine the 2280KV is the meatier one, but after looking at some videos I have had my interest piqued and would like to learn a bit more. Thanks for any help!
EMAX MT1806 2280KV, thats what you need for now......later on he can upgrade. FPV racing drones are not beginner friendly, but if he has patience he will do ok as lond as he goes slowly at first and flys by looking at the drone.....don't slap on the goggles and try to fly first, learn how it flys by watching it....the goggles come later.
