Any recommendations for an android based tab that has enough horsepower(ram) to run video smoothly while flying and video'ing at the same time? (without costing a fortune) My little Samsung tab A is really jerky, but when I load the video to my computer and run it, it's OK. Makes flying a bit difficult when the image is jerking and skipping, and there are trees nearby ! Seems like the ios folks get better results, is that true?
I picked up a Asus tablet 7" which was on sale for $140.00 took all the crap off it, I use it soley for Phantom 3 Adv. & it runs perfectly, I do find in bright sun, its hard to see so I made a hood out of a bud case, black duct tape which helped alott. I try to fly around 6:00pm to 8:00pm so sunlight is not a factor at this time. My buddy uses a larger Nexisis, which is great too, neither have any lag or issues.
Thanks. I usually fly around the same times. Since posting, I have learned more about the settings for video(still have a lot to learn), and things are getting better. I got a "anti-glare" screen protector, and that helped, also have a hood. My tab is dedicated for flying, but I haven't got around to "guttin" it yet, so that will help as well. The videos don't have to be 1080x 60fps for my use, I am using 1080 x 24fps now, and all is well. Thanks again for the reply. Gary
Like I said, "a lot to learn". I found some more info on settings, and I'm running 1080 x 60 MOV and the play back in fine. The users manual for these birds sure lacks a lot of needed info. The online stuff eats up my meager usage allotment pretty fast. The users manual is really not much more than a "quick start" guide. ( a little knowledge is dangerous)
I know last discussed in June, but wanted you to know about a new tablet that came highly recommended, so I bought one. The Nividia Shield K-1 is a gamer tablet, this thing is awesome, no lag, no stuttering, bright screen. I;ve flown, using Litchi app, out of range last night & although picture stuttered a couple of times, never lost it. Much better than my first Tablet & I thought it was good. Only issues I;m hearing is the Nividia K-1 is getting really hard to find. My buddy sent me a link to Canada Computers site & they had 11 Nividias on sale at- $210.00 I went to store next day & they had 2 left! I highly recommend if you can find one.
Thanks royster, I'll have to recover from the intial investment before going on to more and better accessories, but I'll take a look at the K-1
I also have the 7" and 9" Google Nexus tables and both work flawlessly. The resolution is fine as well, so I agree with you.
