Hi everyone I am doing a University project and I am looking for some market research on different ideas of drones. I have been looking at an inital idea of having a quadcopter which could be able to pick up an object from height. I am just after some comments and other applications which it could be possibly used for but if you like I will upload my basic questionnaire to try and gain some more feedback.

    thanks guys

    Hi Ryan!,

Take a look at the CX-20. I bought one a few months ago and its a great platform to modify. On the underside of the CX-20 you have a USB port to program the flight controller plus power outputs (5 & 12VDC) for accessories. You also find 2 outputs to control stuff like camera gimbals and the like. The only limit here is the imagination. The CX-20 can be had for under $350!!!

BeBop is really a toy and has limited range and relatively poor camera quality.

Of course, it always depends on your total budget and what you really want to do with the model.
Most pilots start with a couple toy models - so they don't crash the more expensive ones. A lot of recommendations are here:

+1 To the CX-20. I've used them before and I'm an absolute amateur. They're very easy to mod, too. I have one on order.
