Hi I am wanting to get a decent drone for my 15 yo old son for Christmas. I am looking at these 2, was wondering if I might get advice, definitely want one with a camera and a return to home option. We have never flown a drone before. There are the 2 I have been looking both going for 499 right now, was hoping to spend less but do want a decent one.
DJI - Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter - White
Parrot - Bebop 2 Quadcopter with Skycontroller 2 and Cockpit FPV Glasses - White
thanks in advance for any advice.

    Tough one!
Here is my advice. If your son sees himself as a "creative" type - and wants to create good photos and videos then get the Phantom 3.

If he wants to have "fun" and cruise around the park and get some photos and videos (of lesser quality), then the FPV Parrot would work out.

The "racing around" and "camera drone" markets are actually separate and distinct. In many ways they are not even related - Drone racing and FPV is more like a video game or virtual reality (but real).

Camera drones are flying tripods. That's what they are for.

I hope that helps you figure which may be better for your son.
