I've decided that I want a Phantom so I've spent the majority of my weekend searching for the best deal on one that I can justify buying . First I went to DJI's website and I'm eyeballing the standard . I then got to bestbuy and at both places the standard is at $499 . Then I get on eBay and get distracted by the Phantom 2 Vision Plus in the used and some have extra batteries , carrying cases , wifi extenders etc . So I watch a few and contemplate bidding but they wind up either being more than the NEW standard or they have something wrong or no camera etc ... I'm about to go nuts ! So what is a good price for a used vision plus ? Why are they in most cases as much or more than the standard ? Is there a good place to buy used and reliable ? I guess my question is what am I missing and what should I do and pay ? Please help !! Thanks !
Used means it has been crashed and may have been repaired by some backyard fiddler. I have done business with BH photo for a long time. Never realized they had drones too. Got a Panasonic home security with video for very cheap after Xmas from them. Seem to have some fair deals on used-refurbished
At $499 for a standard and all the newer prices I don't see the point in buying used or refurb....it was one thing when the P2V+ was $1369, but now that a $499 Standard does more than that model I don't think it is worthwhile looking for used unless a local friend who won one or got it for a present wants to sell it to you cheap.
