Hi! I came across the post Small GPS Tracker on the forum and I thought this device on Kickstarter might be of insterest http://kck.st/1J2FPo3. It will let you find your drone anywhere (assuming there's cell coverage from at least one network), and only weighs 20g. GPS accuracy is 50cm outdoors (it uses Russian GLONASS satellites too to achieve that). You can also make it ring and use Bluetooth to find it quicker when you're close. I've always thought that would be a good idea. How much is it going to cost? It's not to pricy I hope because there are ones just slightly larger on Ebay for $22. I got one for my car and it's are so accurate I can see my car sitting in my driveway on Google maps so it should be pretty easy to find a drone too.
read up on the Trackimo and it seems like a really good option over other trackers. How does it fare for others tho?
