Hello all my name is george and im new to the quadcopter world. Since i was a kid i wanted a flying toy but i never had one, and im thinking getting one now. I have found the JJRC X1 which the price is now high. i dont want to spend so much money since its my first one, and i want to be carefull with it.What do you think guys about this quadcopter? is it any good? here are some pictures i found and also a video demonstration since im new i cant post links but here is the ID of youtube video /watch?v=T5LaF3e4nsE i have found this quadcopter for just 120$ what do you think? thanks in advance
Well, I might not be the most experienced guy about RC's here, but hapens to own the JJRC H11D and I may say that it's very stable and has a descent battery life. This seems stable, too, as far as I can see from the video, so I would suggest you to proceed with your purchase. Let us know -after you've tested it- your opinion about it.
You are going to have to be very careful to learn properly with a machine like this one - so take it slow. It is very powerful due to the brushless motors and has no GPS or Barometer to help - in other words, it's quite active. It probably flies similar to the HiSky HM280 which you can find reviewed on our site.
That's not the way to learn how to fly. That's why it's best to get a lightweight ~$20 quad so you can practice, pushing yourself to learn various maneuvers and experiment. When I first started every attempt ended in a crash. And I didn't have to be in a large open field to practice.
Get yourself a Syma X5-C or something similar to start with. The JJRC you're looking at is VERY fast, has brushless motors and isn't really a beginner quad, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it looks like a GREAT quad, I've seen videos, but it's WAY too fast to try to learn with. Get yourself an inexpensive quad you can fly indoors and outdoors, for aaround $30-$50, and spend a month learning with that. My opinion....
