    Hi all,
I'm a new member here so please forgive any breach of etiquette. I am in the process of shopping for my first quadcopter and would like some input. I have narrowed my options down to three quads. The Syma X5C-1, the Holy Stone M68 Plus and the Inguity HD Camera Drone (not the micro). As I understand it, the holy stone is essentially a knock of of the Syma but perhaps with a better camera? My two main concerns are range, and video quality. In my research the Syma seems to be well liked but seems to have two complaints: The video quality is not great and the out of box range is only 30-50 meters (I know there are some mods I can do to increase the range but the Inguity boasts 100 meters but perhaps someone could shed some light on this as there is not much information out there on this quad). I understand I'm only going to be spending $75-$100 and do not have unrealistic expectations of the quads I am looking at, I am just trying to get the best bang for my buck. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Adam 50 meters is more than far enough for your first quad lol
I have 2 x5c's and they are great to learn to fly with all be it a bit light so no good over 10 mph winds
Can't comment on the other 2 but the sums is a cracking machine and the video is quite good

Never heard of the Holy Stone quad and the Inguity one looks like a rebranded Nighthawk DM007 quad. I actually have a JJRC H8C and then got a X5C-1. The H8C is a good flyer and the X5c is even nicer. Transmitters for both are obviously toy quality. Since I plan on getting better quality ones down the road I decided to get a Devo 7e Tx and did the module add on so I can control these quads and others. Using the Deviation software I can basically store up to to 30 model profiles - so far I have my Cheerson CX 11, H8C, and X5C-1 set up and control them all from this one Tx :)
