So I'm new to the whole multiroter scene and I'm looking for a good multiroter that has the capability of carrying a small action camera such as a GoPro. No FPV is necessary, although it would be nice.

If the best option is to build one, what would I need to do so?

The overall goal is to have a multiroter that costs $200 or less that can help with filming my other hobby, rocketry.

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!

Hmmm, how are you going to film the rockets? The quadcopter can't go very high and it's going to be almost impossible to sync up the actions.

In terms of getting decent video, that's going to be hard to do at $200.

Can you explain exactly what you want to film - how, the height, etc.?

The point isn't to watch the entire flight, that I know wouldn't be possible. Just provide a new angle for the liftoff.

As for syncing the actions, I'm assuming you mean flying and launching at the same time? Well I fly high power rockets with a local club. That means there is a person in charge of the actual launching of the rockets and announcing them over the PA. So while he presses the launch button, I will be flying the quadcopter.
