DAM Wants You in the Air!

    Drone Airspace Management Launches

WASHINGTON, DC (February 10, 2016) – [Drone Airspace Management], a drone membership organization aimed at small and medium sized operators in the UAS market, has launched a new website: www.droneairsp.com

“DAM is like an association but with an entrepreneurial twist,” says, Avery Brown, a principal at DAM. “DAM will be a community with collective power to shape the growing drone industry but our main mission is to get our member’s technology into the Air (marketplace).”

Unlike AUVSI, the differentiator for DAM is its monetization platform. DAM offers funding and partnering strategies based on the technology capabilities of each member, intending to help through R&D testing and introductions to the UAS commercial market. Some of these funding strategies will include grant and debt financing options.

The drone industry is seeing a number of less-than-credible pop up groups and companies emerge. DAM says its strength is their experienced aviation team comprised of retired Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officials with 30+ years experience in servicing and managing

technology systems for the National Airspace, including Next Gen transformation. “We formed DAM to leverage that aviation expertise,” said Mr. Brown, “Recognize good technology, push it into the market and help grow it as part of the IOT.”

DAM will announce some outstanding technology members joining soon who will be strategic partners in large technology initiatives such as” Smart Cities”, a federal program which helps communities improve city services and will invest over $160 million in research and other public/private development projects.

DAM’s mission is to “Free the Air” for drones to fly.

DAM invites commercial businesses to join it ranks, especially those in early stage or small-to- medium size.
