Hi guys, I am currently a student working on drone navigation technology. I was tasked to find out about the current uses of drones. It would be really helpful for me if you would answer a few questions for me. -Where do you fly? (what kind of place) -Where do you want to fly but currently can't? -What limits you from flying there? -Do you use drones for video? -If so, what do you film? Thank you so much!
-Where do you fly? (what kind of place) Depends on what I am flying at the time, if its mine a local R/C AMA approved field or my local park that allows flying of electric aircraft. If is one of my "clients" UAV's, then its at an "approved by them" facility. -Where do you want to fly but currently can't? Some of the National Parks, in a few historic places.... -What limits you from flying there? State, Local or National regulations / laws -Do you use drones for video? Yes -If so, what do you film? Anything I can as long as it dose not require permission from a State, National, or Private entity. I do not publish anything I film on any social network or forum either, no problem showing friends and family my work on my screen at home.....but as the FAA is still working on regulations, and there is always someone looking to make money because they think their privacy was infringed upon (with the assistance of an ambulance chasing lawyer...LOL) I will keep doing this until we have proper protections for our hobby and the regulations are clear and understandable.
