Just a wild guess, but that recent plane disappearance could have been due to Lipos which were Cargo.....the US Post Office and other delivery agents are probably looking closely at their policies regard.

You may be experiencing some delays caused by that....

I am US based, so now try to order from the US Warehouse. I suspect that in the future this will all be regulated more heavily - lots of power inside those batteries!

It would be nice if they would actually talk to me about what they plan to do about this....

Update, last night they actually communicated with me via online chat. Language barrier not too terribly high. Nothing happens untill my package makes it back to the other side of planet.
I really don't think I want a package that has traveled the globe three times before delivery.

We get it....you have had an unfortunate experience with your order....but it really is not hobbykings fault....it is your country's customs that created the problems.... This happens, its the result of a few idiots who try to use shipping services for evil means. Hobbyking is doing everything they can to help you

I've bought about 10 orders from HK - both overseas and USA - and all arrived eventually. No doubt they have some of the best prices on the planet, but if a person wants the stuff now Amazon prime is the way to go. Or, use their US warehouse if you are USA based

It's always a crap shoot with the chinese stuff and customs, etc...although every order I have placed with Banggood, hk, etc. has made it here.

Let the buyer beware - these places are not scams, though. But if you need it now buy it local or in country if possible.

Ice, it is hard not to take your post personal~ Is that the Union Jack I see on your avitar? are you from UK or Arizona? I am sure the English expect their rules to be followed also. Every border, by design, has standards that must be met for crossing... But then agin, we don't exactly know what the issue was do we?

My purpose was to help you and others avoid losses like this...

Thread closed. Appreciate the report - this has happened recently to thousands of folks - the report is enough. We don't need long discussions of the topic. Any purchases from 1/2 way around the world are going to have results that vary - especially with dirt-cheap freight rates and products.

Many folks who buy from China say they just place a bunch of orders and if and when the stuff comes in it's like Christmas - that is, people shouldn't rely on a time factor for most of this stuff.

The good news is that HK is stocking more and more in the USA.

Maybe I'll put together a blog article on the various expectations and vendors. I do mention it in the book, but there may not be an article here about it....here is a snippet from the book:

"As in many other endeavors, not only is the brand and model of importance, but also the vendor (store, online site) you decide to purchase from. Let me start by suggesting where you NOT purchase from. Many vendors are China or Hong Kong based and offer some very good prices. Some are very reliable and honest. BUT, the (USA-based) newbie should consider purchasing from a US based vendor when possible for a number of reasons. First, communication with the foreign vendors can often be difficult - not so with your local hobby shop or the better US based sellers. Secondly, it can take weeks for shipments to arrive - no need to play the waiting game to save $5 or $10. Consider the return policy (defective product), parts availability and advice."
