Based on playing with a simulator program on my tablet I don't think I am quite ready to go buy something in the $500 dollar range yet. I did a little research on the Blade 350qx and wondered if there was a cheaper quad that might offer Stick Relativity.. I suppose I could buy the 350qx and used this mode but I would rather not take the chance it failing during flight and have to repair the unit from a crash which might cost more than I want to spend. I don't plan on using this for anything other than fun and maybe some video. I was reading a post and someone made the comment they thought this feature would make it hard to learn to fly the "right way" I wondered what features would I be missing flying not in "stick relativity" mode? To me it seems to make more sense to fly stick relativity mode as it appears more natural. Is there something cheaper than the Blade 350qx that has stick relativity mode/ Thanks Ken
Hmm, I think the Skyartec Butterfly has a compass relativity mode.....I'm going to review one soon. http://www.Banggood.com/Skyartec-Butterfly-2_4G-7CH-6-Axis-Brushless-RC-Quadcopter-p-79716.html?p=YD2619189125201305JG or USA http://www.hobbypeople.net/index.php/quads-helis/quadcopter/skyartec-ultra-quad-bl-rtr-butterfly.html You need a mode 2 probably (sold out at Banggood) but they probably replace stock fairly quickly. Use 3s batteries for better flight..... Check some of the reviews and specs... I actually never fly in home lock or course lock with my Phantom. That is, I fly it using the quad itself for all orientation. This becomes impossible when a non-fpv quadcopter is very far away from you, but up until about 200-300 feet it can be done.
