Problem with Walkera X350

I just got my Walkera x350 yesterday. Got it all set up for flight, updated to the latest firmware. I took it out, binded to tx, calibrated compass and the gyro and accelerometer. When I took it up a couple inches off the ground it hovered fine. I slowly brought up higher and moved it around a little bit just to get the feeling for the controls. When I got about 9 feet off the ground it went crazy and started heading backwards full speed. I tried to get it to go forward on the tx and it did not react to my movements at all and crashed. I took it in and made sure everything was ok and then tried it out again, and exactly the same thing happened, around 9-10 in the air I loose all control of it and it shoots backwards full speed. Just to be sure it wasn't my error I attempted this 3 times all with the same results. She's a little banged up now, broke one of the legs on the landing gear, so I need to fix her up.
Any ideas or suggestions on what is going on here?

    Thanks

What mode are you flying in? I would suggest you re-calibrate everything on the copter (Gyros, compass, accelerometers) and then try flying it in attitude hold mode. I'm not sure what they call that on the Walkera, but basically it means fly it in the mode that doesn't use the GPS and does use the accelerometers. unfortunately I can't really say anything specific, not familiar with this copter.

Akcobra thanks for the reply. I tried everything you suggested and it did the same thing. Hovered around for a bit then took it up a little higher and started to fly, then it goes crazy and I have no control on the tx and it shoots backwards and crashed.

The next thing I'd suggest is to open it up and check all of your solder joints. I've seen some pretty horrible soldering on some of these RTF quads in videos, could just be as simple as a loose connection.

Thanks for the help. I ended up sending it in to get fixed. Hopefully it will be back soon.

Finally got my Walkera X350 back today and it works great! Took it out for a test flight and it flies really good. GPS hold and RTH worked perfectly. Had to send it out to get fixed but they did a great job and the charge was very reasonable.
